I do not know if you have a right to be disappointed since you do not live in
America. Us Italian Americans from Gildone are different from you.
They love the web site. Yes, I am a conservative not some right wing
activist. You, on the other hand, are a liberal that is responsible for
the weak touchy-feely society that undermines the strength that the Italian
immigrants had when they ventured out to explore the world for a better way of
life. My grandmother and Grandfather both learned how to speak English
when they came to America for the benefit of their children.
I am very happy that you are reading our web site.......Unfortunately you will
learn nothing from it because you have a closed mind (liberal) and can only
think of yourself.
If you are so concerned start you own web site and sugar coat it with your
views. The losers always chastise the winners to justify their lack of
determination and will.
How is your crime rate since your liberal buddies took away your right to
defend yourselves?
You know nothing about the people of Gildone.......you probably had an
argument with a Farinacci at one time and are attacking me as a result.
You say you are not prejudice...............you are prejudice against
Americans, myself and other Gildonese that support this website. Besides
you are too young to experience or even talk about the hardships of
the old ones.
Michael Farinacci
Well, I don't know where to begin.
First of all, as a conservative you are in fact politically a right-wing
activist, just as I, as a liberal, am a left-wing activist. What does
"weak touchy feely" even mean?? If you are going to attack my
stance, at least do it in a way which actually outlines my liberal views
rather than simply labelling it with a catchphrase popularly used to attack
anyone with views different from your own.
Secondly, your use of "closed mind" and "liberal" in the
same sentence is an oxymoron, as the word liberal, by virtue of the word
itself connotes a wide scope of thought, which doesn't seek to restrict
itself on account of traditional prejudices.
Thirdly, our crime rate here in Australia is extremely low compared with
that of the US, and NOBODY here carries a gun, or even owns one, apart from
farmers. In fact, since we reformed our gun laws in 1996, we have not
had a single massacre or large scale shooting.
Fourthly, I know A LOT about the people of Gildone! My parents are both born
in Gildone, I have been to Gildone almost every 2nd year since I was born, I
speak fluent Italian and Gildonese dialect, I have studied in Italy, and
therefore have a very sound understanding of both the young and older people
that live in Gildone (I could even tell you the names of everyone in those
photos taken in the bar in Gildone, one of which is my uncle).
Furthermore, the Gildonese who immigrated to Australia did so only in the
last 50 years, as opposed to the ones that came to the US which came far
earlier. Therefore, I have grown up with the people who migrated here,
have heard their stories first hand, have witnessed their integration into
Australian society, and therefore understand extremely well the hardships
that were involved, and the obstacles that were put in their way on account
of people who sought to prejudice them. I could even send you a copy of the
essay I've just put together detailing the history and experiences of the
Gildonesi here in Australia.
Fifthly, I've never had an argument with a Farinacci, in fact I've gotten
along quite well with them, both here and in Gildone. I don't attack
people on account of their surname, just as I don't do so on account of
someone's race, religion, sex, nationality, ethnicity, sexual persuation,
etc. I do however take issue with those that do.
Sixthly, I am not prejudice against Americans, just ask my girlfriend from
San Francisco. I do however like to remind Americans such as you that
their are other countries in this world, believe it or not, and we all exist
on the same planet, and just because we do not regard the US as the be all
and end all, does not make us "evil", does not make us
"terrorist-lovers" does not make us any of those catchphrases that
the right-wing likes to throw around as if it's supposed to intimidate us.
Finally, to assume that I'm too young and inexperienced is highly
presumptuous. I've lived in various corners of the globe, speak
several languages (Yes even French!!!) and met people from all walks of
life, I think that my experience definitely counts for something, and
although I'm flattered, I'm not in need of a job in Austinburg, Ohio.
Kind regards,
Francesco Savino
Thank You for your touchy-feelly response.
You are driven by estrogen (liberal).... everything is decided on feelings
(liberals) ...everyone has some good and should be given many
opportunities at the expense of others (liberals)..... everyone should
share in the wealth of others (liberal). Liberals are considered
weak in my eyes. I do not care where you have been, who you have met or
for that matter how many languages you can fluently speak. Your
justification for who or what you are of no consequence to me.
In summary a liberal makes their decisions on feelings and a conservative
primarily uses a logical thought process.
As far as America is concerned, you have inferred that you do not
particularly care for our capitalistic society. You infer to us as
the "be all" of the world. In the industrial world we are
considered the leaders in technology. People come from all over the
world to take advantage of our medical advancements. We make news
around the world......why....because we take action where others stand and
weep, waver and ponder. (liberals) If we didn't take action
(conservatives) no one else would as in 911. No one came to our
aid....did they? Me......I would profile everyone, why,
because everyone has a motive. Always look for the motive...the
beautiful greed equation that pushes humanity to achieve the unimaginable.
Outline where in my website I have evoked fear or made connotations to
that affect?
I would have your testosterone level checked by a conservative doctor. LOL
You say that I am right wing. Yes, I would probable save your sorry
butt because I have a compassionate side. A flaw, no doubt, in my being.
Gildone is made up of many types of people. Strong, week, sensitive,
touch-feely, bad, sick,.........I am a survivor, see no gray, have very
little compassion for those that do not extend themselves to contribute to
the positive progression of humanity. Yes, you too are required on
this planet. Your feelings side is required to balance emotional
overload. But never, never, would I condone a liberal thinker to
decide my fate.
I exist in the industrial world and protect my businesses as I would my
own family. I will destroy my competitors and others that interfere
with their survival.
I do not just intimidate. I take all legal and ethical action or recourse
to secure my position as well as my employees. You can never sit in
my seat and survive. You must be unemotional and steadfast and
never show an ounce of weakness or waver in confidence.
I have to go make capitalistic, right wing money to feed all the children
of the world, house the drug dealers, defend world freedom, stop the
proliferation of AIDs, and pay for all the liberal lobbyists and their
touch-feely save the forests so they can burn out of control programs.
Please, do not explain your worthless position as to who you are and what
I am. You can never be me and I pray to God I am not you.
The USA loves Australia; you are just an anomaly.
Our thoughts on how the world is structured or how people should act
are different. My E Mail is always open to a fellow Italian that has
roots from Gildone. Be safe and God bless you and your countrymen.
Australia has always been a staunch ally of the USA.
You can send a few pics if you want. I do not care what your views
are when it comes to Gildone.
You sound very well educated and that is wonderful in this Right-Wing's
eye. Education, the prime mover of the universe! If you are
still a liberal after the age of 40...you are an idiot!!
Oh Mate...I'm speechless, that was the funniest thing I've ever read, thanks
for a good laugh! Maybe I'll see you in Gildone sometime! cheers!
Frankie: That is the oldest tactic in the world for a retort. Can't you
think of something more appropriate with that high powered education?
Ps - here's a photo of me in Prague, I'm the shorter (more Italian-looking)
guy.
IA
little Right-Wing internet research on Mr. Savino Pre-Esq.
Am part of the significant community of ex-patriots from the Campobasso
province, here in Melbourne, Australia. Our prayers go out to our fellow "paesani",
and we share in their deep sense of loss and sadness.
Francesco Savino, Australia
Touchy-feely liberals have a
God of convenience.
Ignorance is folly, 'tis bliss to be wise
Merlin Luck ("Somehow, we need to make politics cool
again", Opinion, 1/9) is right on the money in underscoring that people
in this country are more interested in watching some inane US sitcom or
half-baked reality TV show than, say, a documentary presenting some of the
more serious issues facing the global community.
As a young Australian (22), I share Merlin's deep concern for
contemporary Australian society and what seems to be its continuous descent
into blissful ignorance, not only with regard to the salient issues and
tragedies of global scale but, perhaps more alarmingly, with regard to those
that are taking place right here in our own country.
I thought your crime was down
For example, the Howard Government's continuing policy of mandatory
detention of asylum seekers is facilitated by the majority's ignorance and
lack of interest regarding internationally accepted tenets of human rights.
Similarly, the ongoing deception and lies perpetrated by the present
Government on issues such as the Tampa incident, "children
overboard" and the invasion of Iraq illustrate how the unwillingness of
many Australians to see past the end of their own noses can render a
scandalous lack of accountability and seriously threaten the level of
democracy with which we identify.
Please change your diaper.......You know
nothing about world affairs....touchy-feely
I join with Merlin in imploring all fellow young Australians to
become informed; read, travel, watch those SBS documentaries, and don't
allow ignorance to hijack our society.
Francesco Savino, Wheelers Hill
More Touchy-feely BS You need to get a
life...my suggestion is that you walk everywhere!!
You are only 22. A little baby without a
sense of direction. That is why you rely on your feelings for
direction.
A liberal has weather direction .........the
wind blows and another direction is taken. You will possible grow out
of this touch-feely liberal up-chuck as soon as you have responsibility for
others.
Now that's just being rude!
What is it about you American conservatives that render you totally
incapable of having an adult debate? Using childish language like
"touchy-feely" and
"change your diaper", come on! Liberals
are somewhat childish thinkers
You don't even know me, how dare you declare that I have no sense of
direction, that I don't know anything about the affairs of the world, that
I've had everything handed to me, how dare you!
I've worked my arse off throughout my entire life. This year I am
graduating from law school, from one of the best universities in
Australia, which I got into on account of getting top grades at High
School, something that it seems you would have no idea about, given that
from your style of writing it seems as if your educational qualifications
are quite low (the spelling errors in the last email were shocking!)
Rule number one Frankie: Know something about the person you are speaking
about. You missed that class in Law school.
You are so
smart Frankie, yet you have to work for others to survive. Your superior
mind will only make someone like me more money. LOL What
spelling errors?
That article that you've so painstakingly dug up earned me a Dean's prize
from the school of politics and history at my university, they obvioulsy
didn't assess it in the same facile and pathetic way you did.
Useless information Frankie
As far as my direction in life, well given that I've already worked as a
training lawyer in the Amsterdam office of the biggest law firm in the
world Baker and McKenzie, and am returning to work with them after
graduation, first in the London office, then back here in Melbourne, I
suppose that I feel pretty good about my direction in life, and what I've
already achieved thus far.
Hence, although none of this will have any reasonance on the likes of you,
I assure you that I am able to run rings around you when it comes to
taking on these sort of arguments, something I think you realise and which
is why I suppose you've found it necessary to make personal attacks upon
me, because apart from that, you have nothing, you don't have my
intellect, and you certainly don't have my respect!
I was looking forward to keeping up a correspondence with you, as I think
it's healthy to debate differing points of view when it comes to politics,
but it's obvious that you're unable to keep yourself from delving into
personal attacks, something called Dirty Politics, therefore this is the
last email you'll receive from me, you can respond, but I assure you that
it will be sent back unread. You haven't proven yourself intelligent
enough.
Now wasn't this fun readers!! This is an authentic exchange with a
diaper (infant) liberal. Notice how emotion, mixed with education has
dulled his sense of direction. He worked his arse off his entire
life. He is about 22!!! LOL
I wonder if their are any conservatives working at Baker and McKenzie? LOL
His Spelling errors.... woops!
obvioulsy - obviously
reasonance - resonance
realise - realize
labelling - labeling
In my opinion Mr. Savino would not make a competent lawyer because of his
prejudice against conservatives. I trust that Baker and McKenzie will only
allow Mr. Savino to litigate on the behalf of liberals.
