We are sorry we had to resort to using a propane cannon to scare birds and deer away from our vineyard.
Our harvest will be over soon so we ask that you be patient.
If you remember we tried to change the property to Neighborhood Commercial so we did not have to grow grapes.
It was protested and petitioned by Ravinewood Acres Development.
At the zoning meeting I explained what was involved in practicing viticulture. It was met with a deaf ear.
The propane cannon is very very effective.
We are going to plant more vineyards next
year. Each acre cost $20,000 to plant and does not bear fruit
for 3 years. The deer, birds and turkey are all grape eaters and must be controlled
or eliminated. I suggest
you consult Ron Smoker, Dan Whitmire and Richard Danna as to why we had to grow
grapes.
